Private services have already taken place. Glen Edward Byers II dropped his final anchor on heaven's shore on Sunday March 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving crew. Glen was born on March 13, 1957, in Flint, Michigan to Thelma Byers and Glen Byers, Sr. He graduated from Beecher High School where he was a proud Buccaneer. He attended Mott College, Flint. He and his sons were musical artists for summer picnics as well as annual recognition events for the agency. He looked forward to traveling and participating in corvette motorcades for over 15 years. More than anything else, his greatest pride and deepest love was his family. One of his favorite past times was hanging with his brother Erick and his brother-in-law, Dwight, watching his sons run track or play football. He enjoyed the annual vacations to Disney World Hawaii, Alaska or wherever the boys 'voted 'on. He relished the numerous picnics in his backyard with family and friends. An outstanding brother, son, father, uncle and friend, he focused on teaching his sons, nieces, and nephews the importance of strength, independence and navigating through life's waters. He also took them to a few energetic rock concerts for music appreciation. He was a great captain of the family ship.Glen leaves remaining on shore a crew of relatives and friends who were blessed and proud to have shared his life, including his loving and devoted co-captain-wife Gloria, his favorite sons, Dillon and Key, and his proud daughter Joy (Ben) Buchanan.
