Pope Funeral Home - Rocky Mount on Feb. 25, 2026.Rocky Mount, North Carolina,Mr. Charlie Pittman, Sr.,79, transitioned on Monday, February 23, 2026 at his residence.Charlie Pittman Sr was born on Feb.19,1947 to Joe & Gertie Pittman. He gave his life to Christ at The age of 18 under the leadership of Alice Mcknight Dickens. Later on he joined United Full Gospel Holiness Church under Pastor Clarence Dandy. He enjoyed fellowshipping and listening to Apostle Johnnie Washington of Tabernacle of Praise.Charlie worked as a welder for years until he retired. He had a trade of being a mechanic and painting cars for people for decades. He was a loving, caring man that always tried to help everyone. He loved his family and enjoyed when they got together at his home praying, singing, indulging in bible study and playing his guitar.He transitioned at his home Monday Feb. 23,2026. He is preceded in death to his parents Gertie & Joe Pittman. Three sisters Louise Pittman, Beatrice Howell , and Clara Bazemore. 1 brother Joe Pittman Jr and 2 sons Anthony and Thomas Pittman .He leaves to cherish his memory 4 brothers Alfonzo Pittman, James Pittman (Cassandra) of Rocky Mount NC. Herbert Pittman (Geraldine) of Pinetops NC and Johnny Ray Pittman of Tarboro NC . Five sons Charlie Pittman Jr of Rocky Mount NC , Timothy Williams (Priscilla) of Nashville NC, Larry Pittman of Rocky Mount NC, Tony Jenkins (Barbara) of Rocky Mount NC, Nathaniel Jenkins (Wanda) of Spring Hope NC. Three Charlie Angels Jacqueline Pittman of Rocky Mount NC , Jennifer Bryant (Linwood) of Rocky Mount NC , and Michelle Mckiver (Marc) of Pinetops NC. He has 28 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. A host of niece's ,nephew's, with a special thanks to his niece Dora Howell. Among many more relatives and friends , Charlie Pittman Sr was loved and cherished by many .A Visitation will be held for Mr. Pittman on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Total Impact Outreach Ministries, 502 Jordan Street, Wilson, North Carolina. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private.The professionals at H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina 27804, have been entrusted with the arrangements.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
