Bobby Williams ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.BOBBY GENE WILLIAMS, AGE 95 OF ALBERTVILLE, ALABAMA, PASSED AWAY ON MARCH 16, 2026.He was born September 12, 1930 in Cleburne County, Alabama, to the late Nell and Henry Williams. Bobby attended Oxford High School, before serving in the military, and later obtained his accounting degree at Jacksonville State University. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Nora Lee Williams, and his daughter Sonia Williams Gullahorn and son-in-law John; grandchildren Haley (Matt) Tusing, and Collier (Brandi) Gullahorn; great-grandchildren Sawyer, Sidney, and Sutton Tusing, John, Graham, and Thomas Gullahorn.Bobby and Nora had been members of Albertville First Methodist Church for the past ten years following their move to Albertville. They were previous members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church during the 40 years they lived in Birmingham. At both churches, they enjoyed attending Sunday School, senior events, and especially Monday game days.Bobby worked in public accounting for several years, before his employment with Hall Trucking, and later worked for many years as the Chief Financial Officer and retired from Ross Neely Trucking in Birmingham. He took great pride in working outside around his house and spending that time with his wife making their home look immaculate. They enjoyed traveling all over the United States and to over fifteen foreign countries. There was no bigger Alabama Football fan than Bobby. He held season tickets and attended home games as long as he could, but never missed watching the Tide roll on t.v. in his later years. He was a devoted husband, father to Sonia, and cherished his time spent with his grandchildren and especially getting to meet and see his great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on the 20th day of March, 2026, at Adams Brown Funeral Home in Albertville. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery in Anniston, Alabama.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shepherd's Cove Hospice in Albertville, First Methodist Church of Albertville, or UANAA Alumni Fund to the Honorary Scholarship of Sonia and John Gullahorn.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
