Kimble Mortuary & Cremation on Mar. 12, 2026.Aaron Oneal Houston, Sr., affectionately known as "Poochie," 54, of Palestine, Arkansas, departed this life on March 11, 2026. He was born December 23, 1971, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to the late Louvenia Houston and Willie McKinney.Aaron was raised in St. Francis County and was baptized at Stanley Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Forrest City High School in 1991. Aaron worked for Airtherm, a division of Mestek, Inc., where he was employed in the factory industry for many years. He was well known as a neighborhood mechanic who enjoyed working on cars. In his spare time, Aaron enjoyed fishing, hunting occasionally, and barbequing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Aaron was known by family and friends as a hardworking man who cared deeply for those close to him. He took pride in providing for his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Lashelle Payne Houston; his mother, Louvenia Houston; his father, Willie McKinney; his grandparents, Leslie Houston and Pauline Lacey Stegall; his sister, Taroya Lawanda Houston; and one uncle, Lacy Lucas.He leaves to cherish his loving memories his children, Aaron Houston, Jr., Deyaunna Houston, Javion Houston, and Darren Houston, all of Colt, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Ca'Miya Randle, Ka'Ziya Randle, and Ka'Lani Randle, all of Colt, Arkansas; a mother who loved him as her own, Bettie McKinney of Palestine, Arkansas; his mother-in-law, Jessie Darlene Bryson Payne of Forrest City, Arkansas; his siblings, Abner Houston of Colt, Arkansas, Allen McKinney, Sr., of Palestine, Arkansas, Schnell (Andre) Akins of Palestine, Arkansas, and Doris McKinney Banks of Colt, Arkansas; his uncles, Jesse (Vivian) Sain of Detroit, Michigan, Larue (Loretta) Beasley and Theatric (Macilindia) Ishmon, both of Rockford, Illinois, Overtis (Debra) Hall of Wynne, Arkansas, Arthur Lee (Jennie) Stegall of Lancaster, Texas, and Charles (Loistine) Stegall of Forrest City, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Aaron's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
