Monita Parton Rodgers, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her home in Young Harris, Georgia. Born in Hiawassee, Georgia on October 25, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ollie Dills Parton. A Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary, Monita found great joy on the golf course and, above all, in the company of her family. She was a loving wife to Bart for 59 years, and everyone who knew her held her in deep affection.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Parton. She is survived by her husband, Bart Rodgers, and her sisters, Barbara Colville, Juanita Briant, Carlotte Parton, Evelyn Mitchell, and Charlene Lamb.
