Monica Mann Bodiford Obituary March 6, 2026 - Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors

Monica Mann Bodiford, 73, of Highland Village and a native of Malone died Friday, March 6, at a Dallas Hospital.Monica was born July 12, 1952, in Hillsboro. She was the daughter of Guy and Patricia Mann. She grew up in Malone where she attended grade school. She then went to Hubbard High School before graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1970.She married James William Bodoford II of Hillsboro in August 1969. Their only child, JamesWilliam Bodiford III was born Christmas Eve 1970. She later married Scott Taylor. They were together for 33 years.She had lived in Irving and Highland Village for over 50 years. Attending Dallas Community Colleges, she earned an associate's degree in travel and tourism and embarked on a career in the travel industry. Monica enjoyed traveling and going to concerts and casinos. She had battled cancer for over 13 years.Survivors include her husband; son and daughter-in-law, Carola of Lewisville; sisters, Sara Radke and husband, Ronnie of Malone, and Guyann Miles and husband, Larry, of Mosheim; brother, Arthur Man and wife, Susan of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews, Melissa Duffy. Chad Radke, Stephanie Maddox, Peggy Lidster and Ada Motherspau; several great nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Sherry Taylor of Red Oak and stepmother Lanelle Jordan of Hillsboro.A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
