Monica M. Whalen-Grant

Monica M. Whalen-Grant, 65, of Potsdam and formerly of Canton, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital after a long illness. Born on July 9, 1960, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Moreno) Whalen. Monica graduated from Hugh C. Williams High School and went on to attend SUNY Fredonia. She worked as a paralegal until her health no longer allowed.

Those who knew Monica will remember her quiet strength and the many years she devoted to her family and her work. She is survived by her siblings, Millie, John, and Chris Whalen.

At this time there will be no services. Her family will cherish the memories of a life lived with dignity and perseverance.
