Ann Arbor, MI

Molly Felty, affectionately known as “Molly Pops,” passed away on March 11, 2026, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 21. Born on October 9, 2004, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Molly lived a life marked by extraordinary kindness, bravery, and selflessness that touched everyone who knew her.

From an early age, Molly embodied sweetness and compassion. She was a gentle soul who consistently placed the needs of others before her own, cherishing her family and friends with a heart full of love. She found joy in simple pleasures, spending time with her beloved dogs Macy, Chi Chi, and Cooper, and unwinding with her favorite shows during quiet moments she called “bed rotting.”

A proud graduate of Allen Park High School, Molly was attending Henry Ford College and aspired to enter the medical field, driven by a deep desire to help others. For many years she volunteered as a cheerleading coach, instilling confidence and joy in the young athletes she mentored—an accomplishment that reflected her generous spirit and dedication to uplifting those around her.

Molly faced cancer with unmatched courage, confronting her illness with unwavering strength and resilience. Even in her final chapter, she remained a warrior, inspiring all who witnessed her determination and grace. Her warmth and kindness earned her the affectionate nickname “Molly Pops,” a lasting reminder of the joy she brought into so many lives.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother Michelle (Kenny Crawford) Felty, her sister Madison Felty, and a wide circle of family that includes aunts and uncles Karen (Danny) Cordell, Renee (Gary) Yuhaz, Matt (Debi) Waddell, and Renee (John) Ternes. Molly held a special place in the hearts of her grandparents Glenn Waddell and Randy and Verne Felty, her nephew Damian, and her many cousins Jessica, Brett, Michael, Devin (Alondra), Sarah (Luke), Jeremy, Cole, Ethan, Nolan, Jayne, Evan, Ryan, Abigail, and Amelia. She is also deeply missed by numerous friends and the many lives she touched with her gentle presence.

Molly is preceded in death by her grandmother Betty Waddell and her uncle Derek (Elaine Carr) Waddell, whose memories remain part of the family’s enduring story. Though her time with us was far too brief, Molly’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.
