Miriam E. Pitt
March 21, 1958— March 8, 2026
White House, TN
Miriam E. Pitt, age 67, of White House, TN passed away at the Alive Hospice of Nashville from a lengthy battle with Covid related epilepsy on March 8th, 2026. Born on March 21st, 1958, to the late Marvin and Annelle Champion in Jacksonville, FL, Miriam lived a life that showed her dedication and loyalty to her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Ronald Pitt, and her children Jessica (John) Avery and Jeremy Pitt. Miriam is also survived by her brother Rick (Ryan) Champion, sister Donna Pate, as well as her niece and nephew Nicole and Daniel. Although she is gone her memory will forever reside within them.
Miriam earned her degree in education from Trevecca Nazarene University, where she cultivated not only her academic talents but also the foundational qualities of a devoted and compassionate spirit. She proudly wore the title of a military wife, following her husband through changes of scenery as they moved from the serene landscapes of Alamogordo, New Mexico, to the captivating horizons of Fairbanks, Alaska. They would even go on to spend time stationed at the warm shores of Okinawa, Japan. Each relocation would prove time and time the support she was able to provide her husband, while allowing memories of togetherness and adventure, where they forged an unbreakable bond against the backdrop of a world in constant motion.
Her family was her proudest accomplishment, an enduring testament to her nurturing nature. Each moment spent with them was filled with love, laughter, and the simple joys of life. Miriam’s strong Christian faith provided a steadfast foundation for her family, as they found solace and community at The Church at Grace Park in White House, where she and her husband immersed themselves in fellowship, lighting up the lives of others through their faithful attendance.
In her free time, she enjoyed relaxation. Miriam thrived in the comfort of her loved ones, often found in quiet moments enjoying romance films and television shows, her laughter echoing softly in the spaces she occupied. As the years rolled forward, her kindness remained unyielding, a soft light in the lives that intertwined with hers.
Miriam's final journey was undertaken with the same grace she exhibited throughout her life, passing after a brief time in hospice care, surrounded by the people she held most dear. Her memory will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind, a luminous presence that will be felt in every warm conversation, in the laughter shared over movie nights, and in the quiet comfort of family gatherings.
In remembrance of Miriam E. Pitt, we celebrate the generous spirit she infused into our lives—a reminder that love, loyalty, and kindness are the true measures of a life well-lived.
