Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.Mr. Spence was born on February 3, 1940, in Jones County, North Carolina to the late Noah J. Spence, Sr. and Bernice Clark Spence. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Spence and siblings, Noah J. Spence, Jr., Jerry Spence, Maxine Hitchcock, and Gayle Moore.Milton was a lifetime member of White Oak Community Church. He started his career in landscaping at New River Nursery, where he met Ann, and then worked at Grants Creek Nursery up until Ann's passing in late 2025.Survivors include his brothers, Okla Spence and Harold Spence (Cindy); brother-in-law, Phil Croom and sister-in-law, Jane Croom and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
