Born on January 22, 1935, in Marion, Illinois, to Lester and Nora (Bethel) Moore, she married James Reynolds on December 20, 1954. Mildred devoted her life to nurturing those around her through love, devotion, and quiet care. She worked as a teacher at Grace Academy, where she helped shape young minds, and later spent many years at McDonald’s, forming warm and lasting connections within her community. She lived 91 years on this earth, leaving behind a life marked by sincerity and steadfast affection.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Carol (Matthew) Gustafson; her honorary daughter, Sandy Perry; her cherished granddaughter, Shannan (Jeremy) Quitno; her great-granddaughter, Crystal (Robby) Townsend; and her treasured great-great-grandchildren, Camren, Dominick, Maleah, Robyn, A’Lannah, Kehlani, and A’Kai.
Mildred carried a joyful spirit and a lifelong love for The Beatles, of which she was a proud fan club member. Her faith served as the foundation of her life. She maintained a deep and personal relationship with Jesus and remained a devoted member of her church family, where she found strength, friendship, and a true sense of belonging. She now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her parents, her brothers, and her beloved husband, James.
