She was predeceased by: her sister Shirley Swink (Swink); her daughter April; her parents, Homer Gouge and Dovie Gouge; her siblings, Don Gouge, Norma (Blalock), Edna (Killen Massey), Stella (Burleson) and Geraldine (Cansler); and her brothers-in-law, Don Blalock, Ronnie Killen, Bob Massey, Clarence Burleson, Bill Swink and John Cansler.

She is survived by: her husband James Paul Wood; her sister Sonya; her son Terry (Shannon Black Wood); and her grandchildren, Taylor Paul (Kailee Glover Wood), Mary Elizabeth and Peyton Joe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 1:50 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Park.
