Michael Lynn Walker, age 64, of Henderson, Tennessee, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Memphis.
Born in Amarillo, Texas, on May 16, 1961, to Billy Thomas and Anna Herminia Lebron Walker, Mike graduated from Chester County High School in 1979. He immediately enlisted in the United States Navy, serving with distinction for twenty years before retiring. During his naval career, he advanced to E7 Chief Petty Officer, serving as Senior Fuels Supervisor and Quality Control Supervisor for 150 personnel from 1992 to 1994. He later attained the rank of E8 Senior Chief Petty Officer, serving as Assistant Maintenance Officer and Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commanding Officer. Recognized as one of the top 1% of E-8s and E-9s in the Navy, Mike was selected as a Distinguished Honor Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy.
After his military service, Mike worked as a Plant Operations Manager for Greif. He found great joy in traveling, being outdoors, fishing, golfing, hosting cookouts, working out, dancing, and watching football.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Walker (Jillian) and Jeyton Walker, his daughter, Danielle Walker (Cody Newton), and his grandchildren, Anabelle Kramer, Remington Newton, and Oaklynn Newton. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy “Bud” Walker, Jr., JT Walker (Laura), Richard Walker (Teresa), and Spencer Walker (Ashtyn); his sisters, Dorothy Lebron and Teresa McMurthy (Bill); and his sister-in-law, Julia Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tom Walker, and his sister Carman Lorenz.
