Michelle Diane Balch

Michelle Diane Balch, 43, passed away after a long illness surrounded by friends and family on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Born on July 2, 1982, in Concord, Michelle was the daughter of Thomas and Christine (Crowther) McHugh. She attended Coe Brown Northwood Academy and found great joy in simple pleasures such as spending time at the beach, fishing, attending concerts, and gathering with family for cookouts. Deeply connected to her church, she also cherished the time she spent with her best friend, Cyrus.

Michelle is survived by her daughter, Isabelle McHugh of Gorham; her son, Isaiah Prentice of Pennsylvania; her parents, Thomas and Christine McHugh of Gorham; her sister, Cherrie Murray of Manchester; her brothers, Tim McHugh of Landaff and Kyle McHugh of Franklin, Indiana; her significant other, Preston Haverst of Littleton; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
