Michelle Brown-Wade, 53, of Snow Camp, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at Duke University Medical Center. Born on May 20, 1972, Michelle brought joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion to everyone blessed to know her. She graduated from Southern Alamance High School and continued her education at Alamance Community College.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Michelle gave many years of service to both the Alamance Burlington School System and Burlington Industries. She took pride in her work and approached every role with commitment and care. She lived a life full of color, rhythm, and connection, finding delight in shopping, music, and dancing. Her passion for shoes was unmatched, and she embraced her roles as Auntie and Nanna with pride, tenderness, and joy. The beach was her happy place, where she found peace and renewal, and she especially cherished long talks and laughter shared with her dearest friends and cousins.
Michelle will be remembered for her warm spirit, vibrant personality, and the love she poured into her family. Her presence was a gift and her laughter unforgettable. She leaves behind a legacy built on unwavering faith, unshakable resilience, and undeniable joy.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her sister Tammy Glover, her nephew Christopher (CJ) Glover, and several beloved uncles: Uncle Thomas Glover and his wife Katherine Glover of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Uncle Kasey Tinnin; Uncle Stephen (Steve) Tinnin; Uncle Willie Dee Tinnin; and Uncle Alford (Popeye) Tinnin, all of Ramseur, North Carolina.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Josephine Tinnin Brown Comer of Snow Camp, North Carolina; her father, James (Walt) Glover and his wife Candice of Fayetteville, North Carolina; her sister, Tracy Brown of Greensboro, North Carolina; her daughter, Patience Brown of Burlington, North Carolina; and her beloved grandson, Jamison Walker. She is also survived by her nieces, Jasilyn Brown and Jermai Brown Wheeler, both of Hillsborough, North Carolina; her great niece, Londyn Monday; Uncle Carle Atwater of Atlanta, Georgia; Aunt Dianne Siler of Whitsett, North Carolina; Aunt Patricia (Tish) Coltrane of Graham, North Carolina; Aunt Darlene Tinnin and Aunt Kacel Sloley, both of Snow Camp, North Carolina; along with a host of cousins and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
