Michele Sieg ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by D`Alessandro Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 11, 2026.It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman Michele Sieg, whose strength, spirit, and boundless love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to William McCloskey and Sara Schafer McCloskey she carried the grit and resilience of her hometown throughout her life. Strong-willed, outspoken, and full of personality, she was someone who never shied away from speaking her mind and standing up for what she believed in. Her vibrant presence could fill any room, and her laughter and stories were unforgettable. She dedicated most of her life to caring for others as an Emergency Room nurse. In the fast-paced and often difficult world of emergency medicine, she was known for her calm under pressure, her compassion, and her unwavering commitment to her patients. Later in life, her passion for nursing led her back to school, where she earned her master's degree so she could teach and mentor the next generation of nurses. She took great pride in passing on her knowledge, experience, and love of the profession.Although Pittsburgh was always home, her heart belonged just as much to the ocean. The sound of the waves, warm sunshine, with a lighthouse nearby was her sanctuary. She was a self proclaimed "Parrot head" and a devoted Jimmy Buffett fan and his music was often the soundtrack to her happiest moments. She loved to travel, always eager for the next adventure, whether it was a trip to the coast or somewhere new waiting to be explored.Above all else, she loved her family fiercely and wholeheartedly. She was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family, and nothing brought her more happiness than time spent surrounded by her family. Her love for them was unconditional, generous, and deeply felt.Michele is predeceased by her Mother, Father and her sister, Carla McCarthy. Michele is survived by her beloved oldest brother Michael McCloskey; her three children Fred Sieg III, Melanie Sieg, and Chari Sieg. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Taryn Sieg Martinez, Kyle Sieg, Brandon Sieg, Mikki Sieg, Tyler Sieg, Ryan Tucker, Makaila Tucker and Sydney Tucker and nine great-grandchildren ; as well as nieces Melissa McCarthy Soso, Patricia McCloskey and Sara McCloskey who will all carry her memory forward. Her strength, warmth, and spirited nature will be deeply missed, but the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the lives she touched will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, adventure, and family - a life well lived and deeply loved.Following cremation, family and friends are welcomed to D'Alessandro Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd., on March 18, 2026 from 1pm-5pm to celebrate Michele. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
