Michael Eckstein ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel Hill Mortuary & Memorial Gardens - Cedar Hill on Mar. 3, 2026.Michael Wayne Eckstein, 62, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, passed away on February 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by craftsmanship, dedication, and a deep love for his family.He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Eckstein and his step-father, Oley Burnett.Mike is survived by his wife, Deborah, and his son, Michael (Alison). He also leaves behind his mother, Lillian (nee Owens) Burnett; his brother, Mark (Young) Eckstein; his sister, Kim Aydt; and his sister, Linda (Mark) Colvis. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law, Denise Hartnagel, and brother-in-law, Denis Hartnagel, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.Born with a natural curiosity for how things worked, Mike was known for his incredible attention to detail. This trait served him well as a Home Remodeling Contractor and fueled his lifelong passion for restoring classic cars and trucks. For Mike, a project wasn't finished until it was perfect; he took immense pride in every accomplishment, finding joy in the steady work of bringing beauty and power back to vintage machinery.Beyond the garage, Mike shared 35 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Deborah Eckstein. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty and partnership.
