Michael Wayne Blackburn

Michael Wayne “Mike” Blackburn, age 73, of Pineview Street in Brewton, Alabama, passed away on March 10, 2026, at a local hospital following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Brewton, Mike was of the Holiness faith and attended W.S. Neal High School. He retired after many years of work and found great joy in time spent with his family and in his favorite pastime of fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Allen Blackburn of Atmore, Alabama; stepchildren Lola and JR; sisters Paula Faye Hall of Frisco City, Alabama, Linda (Tom) McCall of Atmore, Alabama, and Patricia (Allen) Burr of Frisco City, Alabama; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Paul and Alice Joyce Taylor Blackburn.
