Michael W. Rodd

Michael W. Rodd, 88, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Chestnut Hill of East Longmeadow. Born on November 18, 1937 in Springfield, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Mary (Connors) Rodd.

Michael worked as a truck driver for Admiral Building Products of East Springfield. Fondly known by his family as “Mickey” or “Uncle Mick,” he was an avid New England sports enthusiast, especially following the Patriots and UConn basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Rodd; his daughter, Kathleen Borowiec and her husband, William, of Suffield, Connecticut; two grandchildren, Rachel Borowiec and Owen Borowiec; his sister, Ruth Lunsford of Agawam; and many beloved nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Ciscon; his brother, William Rodd; and his stepsister, Constance Clark.
