November 24, 1971 March 4, 2026

New Hudson, MI

Michael Vincent Spade, age 54, of New Hudson, Michigan, formerly of Chelsea, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Novi. Born on November 24, 1971, in Southfield, Michigan, he was the son of Vincent Louis Spade and Patricia Susan (Andrews) Spade.

Mike graduated from Chelsea High School in 1990 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Theater and Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University. His passion for theater and storytelling remained with him throughout his life. He worked for Disney in Florida, sharing his enthusiasm for film and production with guests, before embarking on a successful career in financial services. After earning his Series 7 certification, he worked as a wholesaler for Nationwide in several states and later held sales positions with Konica Minolta and LexisNexis, where he built strong relationships through his natural ability to connect with others.

An adventurous spirit who embraced life fully, Mike lived in many places and loved to travel. He was an avid runner who competed in half marathons and Tough Mudder events, and he enjoyed biking, going to the gym, and spending time outdoors. He was an enthusiastic reader with a wonderful sense of humor that could light up any room. Always practical and generous with his knowledge, Mike was the person friends and neighbors turned to for help with car repairs, home projects, or solving everyday problems.

Above all, Mike cherished his relationships with family and friends. He is survived by his father, Vincent Spade of Sarasota, Florida; his sister, Dawn (Dan) Burnham of West Hartford, Connecticut; his niece, Anna Burnham; and his aunts and uncles, Susan and Doug Frazier of Greece, New York, and Sally and Stan Achey of Middletown Springs, Vermont. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Spade. Mike will be remembered for his curiosity, kindness, and the genuine care he showed to everyone in his life.
