Michael lived a life defined by faith, service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shameka Pickett; his parents, Alice Pickett and Billy Ray Pickett; his brother, Derek Pickett; and his sister, Maria Thomas.Michael leaves behind a legacy of love through his children, Demetrius, Dontrai, and Alicia. He also lovingly raised Jerica, Jerelle, and Jerald as his own and embraced Brenisha and A'marion, the children of his late wife Shameka, as part of his family. Michael was a devoted father who took great pride in supporting, guiding, and encouraging his children throughout their lives.He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Jaedon, Ty'quell, Taevyn, Laykyn, and Chase, who brought him great happiness and countless memorable moments.Michael is also survived by his brothers Bruce (Renae) Thomas and Ronald (LaNita) Pickett, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.Michael was a proud graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1986. He later attended Southern Arkansas University (SAU), where he studied Computer Science, and continued his education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Michael also served his country honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating the discipline, strength, and commitment that guided him throughout his life.Following his military service, Michael began his professional career with Intel, where he was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication to his work. His knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help others earned him the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him.In addition to his professional accomplishments, Michael was a man of deep faith. He faithfully served as a minister at Pentecostal Flames Church of God in Christ, where he shared his love for God, encouraged others through his words, and remained committed to serving his church and community.Those who knew Michael will remember him for his strong faith, wisdom, and generous spirit. He was a man who valued family, believed in hard work, and always offered encouragement and guidance to those around him. His presence brought strength, comfort, and inspiration to many.Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, guidance, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.
