Michael T. Denistran

Michael T. Denistran, 80, of Garfield, New Jersey, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born in Passaic on August 2, 1945, he grew up in Garfield alongside his three siblings. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen Chrzastek and Stephen Denistran, and by his brother Stephen.

Michael proudly served as a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for many years as a pneumatics controls specialist and retired from the Local 14/24 Plumbers Union, where he also taught fifth-year night school. In his free time, he devoted himself to charity work supporting veterans of past wars. He organized and hosted yearly country western dances at the VA hospitals in Lyons and Paramus, bringing comfort and joy to those who were hospitalized.

He is survived by his brother John and sister Lorraine, his beloved Kathy Augustyn, his son Michael and wife Michele, his son Steven and girlfriend Jessica Mahtaban, and his four cherished grandchildren, Michael, Brielle, Steven, and Autumn.
