Michael Swislocki, 72, of Olmsted Falls, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Berea, he had been a resident of Olmsted Falls since 1978. A lifetime employee of Ford, Mike was a devoted car enthusiast, avid fisherman, and passionate collector who took genuine pleasure in helping others by always seeming to have just what was needed. He found joy in tinkering with small engines, bringing them back to life with patience and skill.
He was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Falls. Some of his happiest times were spent fishing in Michigan, and he cherished the memories of traveling the world with his beloved wife, Dorothy. He also looked forward to his many trips to Florida, where he enjoyed precious time with family. A dedicated football fan, Mike rooted faithfully for the Cleveland Browns, the OU Bobcats, the Cincinnati Bearcats, and the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs. Above all, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him exceptional joy and pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Marie Swislocki, his loving wife Dorothy, and his sister Beth. Mike is survived by his children, Jennifer Swislocki and Rebecca (Mark) Hatgas; grandchildren Taylor Swislocki, Anthony Hatgas, and Jack Hatgas; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Hanna and EmmaLynn Madunicky; and his brothers, Keith and Paul Swislocki. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
