Michael Steven Burgett

Michael Steven Burgett, 74, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away on March 8, 2026, at Arrowhead Senior Living.

Born on November 3, 1951, in Woodstock, Illinois, to the late James Allen and Delores Faith (Mrotz) Burgett, Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force. He completed basic training in Texas and was stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. After his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Sangamon State University and worked as an Adjudicator for the State of Illinois.

Upon retirement, Michael moved to the Ozarks, where he spent many peaceful days fishing, his favorite pastime. He also enjoyed reading, playing poker, and shooting pool. Those who knew him remembered him as a private man of sharp intelligence and quiet humor who cherished his independence.

He is survived by his daughters, Courtney Wick and Haley Neibergall, and his grandson, Atticus Neibergall. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated and no formal services were held.
