Michael Sobol

We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2026, at the age of 80, Michael Sobol of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Sobol and Catherine Sobol; and his brother-in-law Thomas Wood. He is survived by: his wife Susan Wood; his son Richard (Chrysta) of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, Ben (Karen Howells) and Elizabeth Sobol; his son Steven (Stephanie) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, James, Samatha and Madelyn; his children, Andrew (Katie) of Acworth and Georgia; his grandchildren, Kylie, Marisa and Alexis; his son Scott (Jill) of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, Cole, Maxwell, Molly and Jake; and his sisters-in-law, Sheryl (Gary Ackerman) of Swartz Creek, Sharmon (Greg Kehler) of Grand Blanc and Jodi Lee Wood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507).

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Care Team Hospice.
