Goshen, IN

Michael Raymond Kincaid, 76, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Goshen Hospital. Born on November 14, 1949, in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, to Buford and Arbutus (Bailey) Kincaid, Mike moved with his family to Goshen in 1959. He graduated from Goshen High School in 1967, where he was a standout athlete and served as the starting second baseman on the school’s first sectional championship baseball team.

Mike worked at Western Rubber Company for 25 years. His true passion, however, remained sports. He played men’s basketball and fast-pitch softball for many years, and devoted countless hours to coaching youth athletics in the Goshen community, including Goshen JFL, Little League, FOP teams, and men’s fast-pitch softball. In 1996, he coached a Little League state championship team, and in 2024 he was inducted into the Goshen Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. He also served as a licensed IHSAA basketball referee for many years. Beyond sports, Mike held a deep love for music and attended hundreds of concerts across many genres. A true social butterfly, he enjoyed striking up conversations with nearly anyone and became a familiar and beloved presence throughout the Goshen community.

He is survived by his children, Kelly (Jason) Saenz and Justin Kincaid, both of Goshen, Indiana, and David (Amber) Kincaid of Columbia, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Anissa and Jackson Saenz, Braxton (Jillian), Jaylen, Dyllan, and Keaton Kincaid, and Melody Kincaid; and his brothers, Dan Kincaid of Goshen and John Kincaid of Midlothian, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Arbutus Kincaid.
