Burchett, age 73, of Piqua, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born November 21, 1952, in Sidney, to Richard Burchett and Lois (Wildermuth) Burchett.On March 20, 1971, he married Nancy (Hatfield) Burchett and she survives. Alsosurviving are children; Matthew Burchett of Hilman, Michigan, Nicki (Gordon) Miller of Sidney, Travis Burchett of Piqua, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother, Gordon Burchett of Sidney, sister, Lisa (Larry) Schroer of Toledo, brother, Bruce Sano of Troy. Also surviving are stepsisters, Diane (Joe) Tedder of Texas, Brenda (Tom) Thompson and stepbrother, Roger (Dolly) Wilcox, both of Sidney.Michael was retired after 35 years of faithful service from S.E. Johnson Asphalt Company. He also worked 10 years for Cargill Corporation in Sidney. He loved baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed doing woodworking in his spare time. He was of the Pentecostal faith.Family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Plattsville Cemetary.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Michael R.
