Michael LaGrand Skipper

Michael LaGrand “Mike” Skipper, 77, of White Lake, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. A proud Vietnam War veteran, Mike loved his country, his family, and his faith. He lived with a generous heart, always ready to help anyone in need, and would go to the ends of the earth for those he cared about. His deep love for Jesus guided him throughout his life.

Mike found joy in fishing, playing golf, grilling, and spending time with family and friends. In his younger years, he loved shagging and dancing, sharing laughter with those around him. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and staying informed on politics. Known for his hilarious personality, Mike had a gift for saying the funniest and most unexpected things, drawing people to him with his humor, kindness, and generosity. Above all, he cherished his family and friends, remaining fiercely loyal and always willing to lend a hand. He adored his dogs, “the girls,” and found his greatest happiness surrounded by the people he loved most.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Skipper; his son, Michael Skipper and wife Megan, and his cherished granddaughter, Paisley; and his daughter, Kaycie Skipper and her significant other, Ty Watkins.

Mike will be remembered for his humor, generosity, deep faith, and the tremendous love he showed for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
