Michael Luevane ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Duyck & VanDeHey Funeral Home - Forest Grove on Mar. 16, 2026.Michael John Luevane, 62, a resident of the Forest Grove community passed away on March 13, 2026 at the Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland.Mike was born on April 7, 1963 in Anchorage, Alaska. He was the first of two children born to John and Hertha (Schreier) Luevane. Mike and his family followed his father's career in the US Air Force and had lived in Germany, Austria, Kuwait and all over the United States. He attended high schools in Kuwait and graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, TX with the Class of 1981.He enlisted into the US Navy and served his country for four years.Mike married Kathy Goddard in 1988 and they made their home in Aloha, they later divorced. He met his future wife, Jennifer Crowell, while gaming online, following a five-month conversation online they met for the first time in 2004. On September 23, 2006 they married in Rockaway, OR and made their home in Hillsboro moving to Forest Grove in 2013. They have a daughter, Maya.He worked in the IT Business all his life, Mike was a pioneer in many ways having worked for several big companies in and around Washington county with their Linux operating systems.He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling to Europe, Russa, Alaska and the UK. He loved campfires but not camping, Jennifer and Mike also enjoyed the Oregon coast often making day trips. Mike was musically talented, he played the bagpipes, guitar and the piano. He was a very romantic partner often surprising Jennifer with displays of affection.He is preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, a daughter, Maya of Forest Grove, a sibling, James Luevane of New Mexico, a half sibling, Marsha Luevane of Colorado and many cousins.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
