Michael Harold Smith

Michael “Mike” Harold Smith, 64, of Ringling, passed away in 2026. He married Crystal Leigh Griggs on April 28, 1990, in Tampa, Florida, and the couple shared nearly 36 years of marriage. A contractor in the construction industry for 40 years, Mike worked alongside his son Sean and his brother Bob. He was an avid music lover who played bass guitar and sang, and he cherished the time spent with his sons and friends. He also enjoyed golf, watching movies, and rooting for his favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Above all, Mike was devoted to his family. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, always ready to offer help and guidance. A role model and source of inspiration, he touched many lives as a mentor and left a lasting impression on those around him. Known for his quick wit and warm personality, he could make even strangers laugh and feel valued after only a short time in his company. He remained surrounded by the love of his family and friends throughout his life.

Mike is survived by his wife, Crystal Smith; daughters Jennifer Blinsmon of North Dakota and Felicia Rosenberger and her husband Anthony of Ringling; sons Sean Trainor and Lacey Bailey of Ardmore and Joshua Smith and his wife Sammie of Washington; grandchildren Calvin Smith, Brett Trainor, Iris Lindsey, Phoebe Lindsey, Marin Rosenberger, Leia Rosenberger, Eleanor Rosenberger, Kai Rosenberger, and Michael Rosenberger; brother Robert Smith; sisters Judy Porter and husband Jack, Diane Sutton, Connie Kobal, and Vicki Andrews; sisters Susan Gale and husband Jeff, and Amy Clulow and husband Mike; brother Robert Rasner and wife Stephanie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
