Michael G. Huie was born on October 26, 1952, in Paris, Tennessee, and passed away at his residence in Cookeville on March 14, 2026, at the age of 73.
Son of Harold Huie and Daisy Gorman Huie, Michael served 22 years as a drill instructor in the United States Marine Corps before retiring. On April 2, 1987, he married Rosita Advincula, and the couple shared 38 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Huie. Michael is survived by his wife, Rosita Huie; his son, Michael Huie II of Indianapolis, Indiana; his daughter, Christa Tyler of Paris, Tennessee; his brother, Don Huie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his sister, Linda Prader of Paris, Tennessee; and his grandson, Cody.
