He was born in Hamilton, Georgia, on June 30, 1965, to Marjorie Steis Bowling and the late Edward Eugene Beard.Michael was an avid outdoorsman who felt most at home in the woods or out on the water, whether he was hunting at sunrise or casting a line on a quiet afternoon. He was a hard worker and someone who believed in putting in the effort and doing things the right way. Along with his strong work ethic, he had a great sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and brighten even the toughest of days. He deeply loved his family and friends, and always made time for the people who mattered the most to him. More than anything, he lived life to the fullest, embracing every adventure, every story, and every moment with the people he cared about.In addition to his mother, Mr. Beard is survived by his wife, Theresa Lynn Beard; his daughters, Mallory Pike (Jarred) and Taylor Beard; grandchildren, Cooper Pike, Reese Pike, and Hayes Pike; his sister, Margaret Bartley; his nieces and nephews, Griffin Bartley, Grayson Bartley, Brittany Sutton, Casey Lester, Ashley Bagwell, and Stacie Sep'lveda; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Bonnie Lester and Howard Lester; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pamela Lester and Richard Lester; and his aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.The funeral service will be held at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter-Allen-Myhand on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until service time on Monday.
