He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Cockrell and Alice Cockrell; and his great grandchild Aubree Lynn Claunch. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Cockrell of Pulaski, TN; his children, Phillip Cockrell (Charlene) of Arlington, TN and Anissa Woods (Steve) of Pulaski, TN; his brother Keith Cockrell (Debbie) of Germantown, TN; his grandchildren, Amber Claunch (Dennis), Ashley Way (Justin), Allan Cockrell, Megan Smith, Jack Woods and Allie Woods; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Claunch, Jackson Claunch, Savannah Way and Madelyn Way.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ellendale Baptist Church (3861 Broadway Rd, Memphis, TN 38135). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
