He is survived by: his wife Alice Carter; his stepdaughter Jessica Pettit (Jasper); his mother Doris Cler-Johnson (Greg Johnson); his sister Jennifer Kilman (Tim); his pets, Ivy and Willow; and his close friends, Jeff and Donna Bocook. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blue Funeral Home (1704 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
