Michael David Buchanan

Michael David Buchanan, 61, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on March 4, 2026. Born in Livonia, Michigan, on August 6, 1964, he worked for many years as Shipping Manager at Peyton’s Southeastern, where his dedication and strong work ethic were widely respected.

An avid outdoorsman, Michael found joy in fishing, sitting around bonfires, grilling, and spending time with his family. He especially cherished the moments spent with his granddaughter, Avery Smith, whom he lovingly called his “Rapunzel” because of her long golden hair. He created countless special memories with those closest to him, including taking his daughter, Katie, driving to look for deer when she was young—moments she will always remember whenever she sees one.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Buchanan.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Katie Buchanan; granddaughter, Avery Smith; parents, Dennis Buchanan and Barbara Cauldron; sister, Michelle (Elwood) Daley; brother, Matthew Buchanan; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be remembered for his deep love of family and the warmth he brought to every gathering.
