Michael Biedrzycki passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on December 1, 1947, to Paul and Alice Biedrzycki in Miles City, Montana, Mike lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He spent his early childhood in Montana and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School. In 1961, his family moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where he attended Hill High School, graduating in 1965. After high school, he studied at the University of St. Thomas before being drafted into the United States Army in 1969. He served as an administrative clerk at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Upon returning to Minnesota, Mike began a 42-year career with the Milwaukee Road railroad as a locomotive engineer. Later in life, he returned to the University of St. Thomas and completed his bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2001.

In 1972, Mike married Julie Thomas. Together they raised their eight children in Stillwater, Minnesota, where the family belonged to St. Michael’s Catholic Church. In 1998, they moved to Osceola, Wisconsin, and Mike became a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. His Catholic faith remained the foundation of his life. Mike had a great love for movies, particularly comedies starring Steve Martin and classic mobster films. He was known for laughing at the most inappropriate moments and for his remarkable ability to quote lines from nearly any film he had seen. He was also cherished for his legendary cooking and the warmth and laughter he brought to his family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alice Biedrzycki. He is survived by his sister, Kay; his wife, Julie; and his children: John and his wife Karen and their children, Richard and Oliver; Joseph and his wife Cora; Joshua; Jacob; Jeremiah and his wife Maureen and their children, Michael, Mayme, Juliana, and Joanna; James and his wife Vivian; Mary and her husband Daniel and their children, Edwin and Declan; and Jonah and his wife Giovanna. He will be remembered for his deep faith, his unwavering devotion to his family, and the joy he shared with everyone around him.
