Michael Andrew Priestman of Lynn passed away on March 16, 2026 at his home. He was 65.

Born in Waltham on November 4, 1960, Michael was the son of the late Arthur Jean Priestman and Jean Frances (Ryan) Priestman. Raised in Waltham, he attended Our Lady’s School and graduated from Waltham High School with the Class of 1979. He went on to earn both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counseling from Cambridge College.

Michael found joy in cooking and baking, often spending his Sundays preparing meals for the week and sharing his creations with colleagues. A devoted cat lover and passionate Boston Bruins fan, he also cherished traveling, with Montréal holding a special place in his heart. In the final chapter of his career, he worked for C.T.C. of Lynn, devoting more than two decades to counseling individuals struggling with substance abuse and helping them rebuild their lives.

He leaves behind his sisters, Donna Jean St. Pierre of Attleboro and Shawna Kaye Levine (Jeffrey) of Wayland; his brother Kevin Priestman (Marisa) of Framingham; his nieces and nephews Diana Priestman, Joshua St. Pierre, Andrew Levine (Charlotte Niedermann), and Melanie Levine (David Arbeiter); and his great-nieces Frances and Hariett Levine. Michael will be deeply missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched through his compassionate work.
