Michael Allen Kearney

Michael Allen Kearney, 71, a resident of Stockport, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at his home.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Stockport Fire & Rescue or Stockport American Legion and mailed to the family at P.O. Box 155, Stockport, Iowa 52651. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is caring for Mike and his family.Mike was born June 16, 1954 in California, the son of Clarence and Wanda (Rietzel) Kearney. He married Sara Snyder, October 31, 1995 in Lake Tahoe, California.Mike worked as a cement finisher while in California. He loved fishing and spending time with his kids. Mike enjoyed carving canes out of wood.Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sara; children, Sheila Kearney and Michael Kearney, Jr.; step-children, Eric (Char) Carruthers, Clayton (Brooke) Lilley, and Clifford Lilley; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Deb Kearney.He was preceded in death by his parents.
