Michael Alan Clozza

January 27, 1951 March 10, 2026

Orange Park, FL

Michael Alan “Mike” Clozza, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida, at the age of 75.

Born on January 27, 1951, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Albert and Georgia Clozza, Mike grew up with a strong work ethic and a lifelong passion for learning. He studied Pre-Law, Business Management, and Aircraft Mechanics before proudly serving ten years in the United States Navy. Attached to the CVA-66 USS America and NAS Oceana’s Attack Squadron 176, he earned the National Defense Service Medal and rose to the rank of AMH2 (E-6) before receiving an honorable discharge. His time in the Navy deepened his love of aircraft and reinforced the values of discipline and perseverance that guided him throughout his life.

After his military service, Mike worked as a Civil Service Aircraft Mechanic until his retirement in 2014. He also owned and operated Clozza Ceramics for more than a decade, creating and selling handcrafted ceramics that brought joy to many. In his free time he enjoyed building models, admiring vintage aircraft and classic cars, listening to oldies music, and going to the movies. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the great pride of his life.

Mike is survived by his children Angela Curvier (Andre Cassiano), Michelle Horning, Terry Grau, and Mary Hazen; his sister Connie Lynn (Jim Lynn); grandchildren James Curvier (Cassandra), Anthony Curvier (Meghan), Alexander Curvier, Aubrey Kelley, Jasmine, Amber, Jennings, Shiloh, Hayley, and Cody; great-grandchildren Averly and Selah; and many other loving family members and friends. He is reunited in peace with his parents Albert and Georgia; brothers Donald, Douglas, James, Dennis, Albert Jr., and Gregory; wives Alice, Carol, and Kathi; daughter Dawn; and other dear loved ones who preceded him.

He will be remembered as a hardworking man of unwavering dedication to his family, his craft, and his passions, deeply loved by all who knew him.
