Michael A. Daurio

Michael A. Daurio, 39, of New Haven, Connecticut, passed suddenly on March 7th following a severe asthma attack.

A lifelong resident of New Haven, he was the son of the late Maggie Daurio and was raised by his aunt Joan Schlauder and the late George Schlauder. He is survived by his brother, Vinny of Cromwell, Connecticut.

Michael graduated from Platt Tech High School in Milford in 2005. An avid Mets fan, he found joy in playing cards and video games with family and friends. A devoted animal lover, he shared his life with cats from childhood onward.

Though he was taken from his family and friends far too soon, his passing brought the gift of life to four others through selfless organ donation. He will be remembered for his kind heart and the quiet ways he touched those around him.
