Merita Wall ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Eggers Funeral Home - Boiling Springs on Mar. 17, 2026.Marian Merita Burnett Wall, lovingly known as "Merita," passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 91.Born on August 25, 1934, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Merita was a daughter of the late Walter F. Burnett and Grace Covil Burnett.Merita was a faithful member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Sears in the drapery department and was excellent at taking customer's window measurements of having the perfect pair of drapes made for them. Her attention to detail and warm, personal touch made her a favorite among customers, many of whom specifically requested her.Merita had a deep love for storytelling, and her family and friends loved that the most about her. She loved everybody and found great joy in the company of those who came to visit her. Her life was marked by her ability to make others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.She was married to her beloved husband, Leonard M. Wall, for 73 years.In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Cynthia Wall Carter, and husband, Roy Carter Jr.; son, Ricky Leonard Wall; brother, Warren Burnett, and wife, Rita; her grandchildren, Marysa Carter Sobral, and husband Bruno, Kristen Miller, Kellie Wall Moore, and husband, Tommy, and Jennie Wall.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Wall Miller; granddaughter, Lauren Miller; sister, Sybil Truesdale; and brother, Walter F. Burnett, Jr.A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026, in the Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs officiated by Rev. Carroll Page, and Rev. Ronnie Cox.Pallbearers will be Ricky Wall, Kenny Truesdale, Michael Brady, Warren Burnett, Mason Wall, and Scott Wall.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home.Interment will follow at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
