Born on April 13, 1940, in Williamsport, PA, she lived a life full of love, kindness, and vibrant energy.Throughout her life, Mina embraced many careers, but she was most proud of her work as an Administrative Assistant in the insurance industry. Her dedication and professionalism left a lasting impact on those she worked with.Mina was a true artist at heart and found joy in expressing herself through her art. She had a great love for horses and shared her passion with those around her. Known for her boundless love and friendship, she was not only a devoted mother but also a cherished best friend to her family. Her social nature and warm demeanor made her beloved by all who knew her. Melvina delighted in singing in the church choir and took great pleasure in her weekly bowling outings. She celebrated each holiday with the enthusiasm and wonder of a child, instilling a sense of joy and appreciation for life's simple pleasures in her family.A compassionate soul, Mina taught her children the importance of respecting our planet, often reminding them that small actions, like picking up litter, make a big difference. Her generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, as she regularly donated to causes that supported both people and animals in need.Mina is survived by her loving husband, Edmund Ostroski; her three children, Shelley Gordon, Sharon Fegan, and James Hauck and his wife Holly; her treasured grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Hauck; her brother Pete Fisher and his wife Carol; nephew OJ Fisher and niece Tracey Lingle; along with numerous extended family members. Her departure leaves a profound void, but her spirit and the love she shared remain with us. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved fur baby, Kayla. Melvina's presence will be deeply missed, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. "We love you from here to the stars and back, Mom. We'll see you in Heaven."Share memories and condolences by visiting the "Tribute Wall".Wilmington Funeral & Cremation 1535 S. 41st Street Wilmington, NC 29403 910-791-9099Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
