He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Pamplin; his parents, Sylvia Pamplin and Oscar Pamplin; his children, Mark Pamplin and Holly Pamplin; and his stepson Lamonie Goodman.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Betty Kopp; his daughter Melanie Chouinard (Louis); his stepchildren, Darla McWilliams, Thomas Goodman and Kathy Taylor; his granddaughter Hilary Ruggles; his stepgrandsons, Jaemes and Jakeb Chouinard; his great grandchild Lillian Herron; and his caregivers, Bonny Carter and Rhiannon Harpring.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (800 6th St, New Albany, IN 47150).
