Melissa Robinson Dickinson

Melissa Dawn Dickinson, 49, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on March 12 at her home following a long illness. Born on September 18 in Dayton, Ohio, she spent most of her life in Kentucky surrounded by her family.

Known affectionately as “Mel” and “Sissy,” Melissa was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She shared a deep bond with her husband, who remembers her as his best friend and partner. She had a great love for springtime, gardening, and raising chickens, and she took pride in canning anything that had a recipe. Quick with a sarcastic remark and always ready with the last word, she was equally known for her helpful hands and generous spirit.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, her aunt Darlene, and her aunt Moriah. Melissa is survived by her children, Lisa, Annie, Bethany, Abby, and Meghan, one sister, and many cousins. She will be remembered and loved always, to the moon and back.
