She was the daughter of Eddie Hammond and Rebecca Hammond.Melissa was nothing short of amazing; she was a caring, loving, kindhearted woman who wore her heart on her sleeve. She was compassionate and would always put everyone before herself to make sure they had what they needed. Melissa worked for Middle Tennessee Surgical Specialists for almost twenty years. She absolutely loved her job and was great at it. She would light up the room with her smile and all of her solar dancers. Melissa had many hobbies, but some of her favorites were gardening, being outdoors, and soaking up the sun out at the lake on the boat. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and when the holidays came around. She was a happy soul. In her downtime, you could catch her watching Bobby Flay cooking shows or investigative documentaries with her sidekick, BeBe; she loved that dog with everything in her. Melissa fought hard all throughout her life, right up to the very end.
