MELISSA LEE

Melissa Wilder Lee, aged 57, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 8, 1968, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Waylen and Bernice Wilder, Melissa was preceded in death by her two sisters, Myra Goodenough and Michelle Wilder. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; her children, Amanda (Corey) Goodin and Logan (Jenna) Harper; her beloved grandchildren, Waylon and Ellie Goodin and Carson Brooks; her brother, Johnny (Denise) Wilder; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who held her dear.

A member of the Barbourville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Melissa was baptized on June 8, 2019. She lived her faith with quiet generosity, always seeking ways to help others through her ministry and in her personal relationships. Her happiness came from giving freely and wholeheartedly, embodying the spirit of Acts 20:35. She cherished her family, both by blood and by faith, and found comfort in the hope expressed in Revelation 21:3-4 of a time when death, pain, and mourning will be no more.

She will be remembered as a woman of deep love and selfless kindness who touched everyone around her with her gentle and giving spirit.
