Melinda Fay Dove

Melinda Fay Dove, 67, of Bringhurst, Indiana, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on November 22, 1958, in Frankfort, Indiana, to Glen and Hazel (Isabell) Montgomery, she married Benny Dove in 1986.

Melinda worked for many years as a business account representative for GTE/Verizon, where she set up systems and trained others. She attended Saint Mary of the Woods College and was a longtime member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and faithfully attended the annual Class of 1977 Christmas Party. Above all, she cherished her life with Benny and the children, and her family remained the center of her world.

She is survived by her brother, John Glenn Montgomery and his wife Dollie of Bringhurst; her sister, Glenda Shope of Terre Haute; nieces Andrea, Amber, Breanne, and Michaela; and great-nephews Wyatt and Lincoln. Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benny, and her infant daughter Melissa Sue Hendrickson.
