Melba R. Hamlen Obituary March 13, 2026 - Frazier & Son Funeral Home

Melba R. Hamlen, 94, formerly of Albany, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshaville, Georgia.

Born on July 27, 1931, in Pineview, Georgia, to the late Grady S. Rhodes and Irene Elizabeth Powers Rhodes, Melba spent her life as a devoted homemaker and remained faithful to her Baptist beliefs. She shared many years with her husband, G. Frank Hamlen, and was deeply connected to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Frank Hamlen, her brother, James G. Rhodes, and her sisters, Vivian Bloodworth and Lillian Royals. Those left to cherish her memory include her niece, Beth (Joel) Icard, and her nephews, Vic (Glee) Rhodes, Charles (Stephanie) Bloodworth, and Kyle (Sylvia) Bloodworth.

Her interment will be private in the Morningside Cemetery.
