Maxine R. Carnett

Maxine R. Finley Carnett, 87, of Batesville, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born in Sage, Arkansas, on July 4, 1938, to Avord and Estelle Finley, she spent many years owning and operating Finley Grocery in Batesville. Above all, Maxine was cherished as a devoted homemaker and a loving mother who took great pride in caring for her family and home.

She found joy in cooking, crocheting, and sewing, and was known for maintaining an impeccably clean and welcoming house. Her warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Stanley Campbell, of Batesville; two grandsons, Michael Campbell and Jeremy Autry; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Rita Autry and Vickie Knox; her sister, Ava Finley Maddux; and her brothers, Roger Finley and Bill Finley.
