Maxine Knoepfel ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home - Nashville Chapel on Mar. 16, 2026.Maxine Olivia Ilona Knoepfel, Age 26, of Nashville, TN, passed away on March 11, 2026.Preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Max Rene Knoepfel (Switzerland), her paternal grandmother, Ilona Kemeny Knoepfel (Switzerland), and her maternal grandfather, Don Barta (USA).She is survived by her father, Max Knoepfel, residing in Nashville; mother, Nancy Knoepfel, residing in Massachusetts; and her maternal grandmother, Ginevera Barta.Maxine was born in Washington DC, lived in Virginia, New York and eventually completed high school and college in TN. She was a graduate of UT Chattanooga with a degree in Engineering. She was employed in Smyrna, TN with Schneider Electric, where she enjoyed her work and co-workers. Maxine loved animals and nature. She grew up with dogs, cats, horses, chickens and was responsible for rescuing many. She trained a Labrador puppy for Southeastern Guide while in High School in Robertson County, TN. She was able to take the puppy to school and teach about guide dogs to children about guide dogs throughout the county school system.Barrel racing was a favorite activity along with endurance equestrian riding with her many horses. She also trained 2 of her rescue dogs in dog dock diving competitions. Her interests besides her animals included hiking, mountain biking, camping, and weight lifting/body building. She was a very bright and beautiful woman who was loved by and will be missed by many.A Celebration of Life will be announced very soon.
